Asia's Lioner Appoints Hong Kong MD

The "strategic addition" brings more than two decades of life insurance planning, with a focus on serving high net worth clients.
Lioner International Group, the insurance, trust and family office group, has appointed Francis Tang as managing director, Hong Kong, effective immediately.
The firm said the “strategic addition reinforces Lioner’s dedication to offering total solution services for high net worth individuals, families and businesses with diverse needs across Hong Kong, Greater China and beyond”.
Tang has more than 20 years’ experience in life insurance planning, with expertise in serving HNW clients.
Previously, Tang was senior director at Charles Monat Associates, where he specialised in wealth management and insurance solutions, primarily covering the Greater China and Philippines markets. He also worked at HSBC Life International and international brokers, including HSBC Insurance Broker. Tang holds a degree from University College London and is fluent in Mandarin, English and Cantonese.
Lioner was founded in Hong Kong in 2021. It
opened a Beijing office in August 2023. In March 2025,
it appointed former HSBC private banking figure Andy Leung as
managing director in consultancy.
